Elizabeth Hutt from Z Salon & Spa gives us four tips on applying makeup for mature skin. Follow these rules to look your best with ease even after 60:
- The Eyes Have It: Stay away from frosted shadows. They generally reflect light and become imbedded in fine lines, drawing more attention to them. Choose more matte shadows instead and apply them above the lower lash line in an upward direction to make eyes look brighter and more vibrant.
- Use Eyeliner With Care: Eyeliner shouldn’t look too harsh. Avoid a hard line. Keep it blended to create a softer look.
- Lucious Lips Are Nice: Like with eyeshadows, avoid anything that will run into creases, such as lip gloss. Its consistency will highlight fine lines. Try a lipstick instead, but be sure to prep your lips first with liner so lipstick doesn’t feather.
- Foundation Is Your Friend: To achieve a healthy glow, try foundations with moisturizer in them. Apply a translucent powder to set the foundation and finish.
