Caregivers: Why music can help your loved one


Elizabeth Cook, community outreach coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana, offers this tip for those who are caring for someone with Alzheimer’s.

“Singing and music in general can be very helpful,” she says. “Remember their life story. What music did they grow up listening to? Music and singing are usually some of the last memories to leave us.”
