Is your loved one going into a nursing facility? Know this about Medicaid
Many people think that as long as a nursing home resident applies for Medicaid within three months of going into a nursing home, Medicaid coverage will be retroactive to the date of admission.
However, Medicaid will only be approved starting the first day that the person was deemed eligible.
